East Palo Alto For Reparations (EPA4Reparations) is a grassroots community coalition that informs the East Palo Alto Community and the surrounding communities about reparative justice at the California state level for descendants of formerly enslaved and then emancipated Americans.  We highlight the historic work of the California Reparations Task Force and their recommendations in their Final Report.  

We also encourage the East Palo Alto community members who are descendants of formerly enslaved and then emancipated Americans (American Freedmen), to examine their contributions not only to our state but  to our city and our county as well as the harms suffered in our community and how to move forward with our repair.  

We are committed to helping community members of all backgrounds understand what true reparations are for American Freedmen and are able to advocate for us properly.
